Join us tonight at 7pm! Have you heard the story of the Indianapolis 500 driver who lived in Flossmoor? Or the soap opera star with roots in Flossmoor? Or Flossmoor’s connection to the famous Chicago Tribune “Dewey Defeats Truman” headline? Or where the vote to incorporate Flossmoor was held—and Homewood’s Gottschalk family’s ties to Flossmoor? Join Flossmoor Veterans’ Memorial’s Kris Condon for a sneak peek at some tales from her new book, scheduled for publication later this year. We’ll celebrate Flossmoor’s 102nd birthday with some sweet treats as well. Copies of Kris’s first book, Fragments of Flossmoor, will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting the Veterans’ Wall of Honor project.

Happening this Thursday! Join us for a gentle yoga class that will focus on stretching, meditation, relaxation and breathing. Benefits can include anxiety reduction, increased flexibility, and improved body awareness. Leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!

Classes are open to ages 18+ and beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend. This class is designed for participants to sit on mats on the floor –attendees must be able to get up and down from the mat without assistance. There will be a limited number of chairs available for participants who prefer that option. Please bring your own mat, yoga block and yoga strap if possible. We will have a limited supply of mats, straps, blocks and blankets available. Attendees participate at their own risk.

PLEASE NOTE: This class starts promptly at the time indicated. Please arrive earlier than 7 pm so you have time to set up your mat and sign waivers without disrupting class. The elevator doors will be closed promptly at 7pm and late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the program.
