Tim Ernst
🕰️Years of service- 28 at Flourtown - 4 at Weldon Fire Company
Rank- Vice President and Engineer, but I’ve done everything from President, Safety Officer to Director over the years.
💻Profession- Digital Marketing Manager for a Dental Products Manufacturer
What made you join Flourtown? Members of my family. My father Was fire police (always was interested in the fire service and would tell me and my brother to hop in the car (when we were little) to chase the fire trucks 🚒 to see what they were doing. My brother also joined the local fire company after college, so when I moved to Erdenheim I decided to stop by Flourtown one Monday night, they handed me gear and I was set to go. Things are a bit different with new members now!
🧑🏻🚒Favorite memory with the fire co.
There are lots, but the 100th Anniversary of FFCo with the carnival and fireworks was a highlight. Also saving a gentleman who crashed his pickup into a building. Most on scene thought he was deceased but when we used the hydraulic tools to push the dashboard off him he groaned and started breathing - he lived to come by and thank us.
Hobbies outside of the firehouse- woodworking, fi****ms safety training, and shooting sports. 🪵🎯
Tim is a huge asset not only on the firefighter side but our administration side of the fire company. As vice president, Tim handles our year fund drive. During our 100th anniversary, Tim ran allot of the events inducling publishing our 100 Anniversary Book!! Flourtown is certainly lucky to have Tim!
