Browning Barn

Browning Barn Built in 1940 by J.W. Browning, this dairy barn served as a milking parlor for up to 40 cows at a time and produced 300-400 gallons of milk daily.

The milk was then delivered door to door to the residents of Butts County as well as to local and surrounding schools and retail stores. J.W.'s son, J.O. 'Jim' Browning took over the company in 1968 and switched to a distributorship operation. Until 2014 the barn was stocked with hundreds of milk crates filled with vintage bottles. An antique dealer purchased the majority of the crates and you can

now find them being sold in antique stores all over Georgia including Scott's Antique Market in Atlanta. Carson, J.O 'Jim' Browning's oldest grandchild, his wife Haley and their daughter Elizabeth are restoring the barn to preserve family and community history.

If you are a bride or you know a bride that is on the “Kennedy Wedding” trend…she can MOST DEFINITELY make it happen in our 1940 Dairy Barn.

It doesn’t get more Simple, Serene or Southern than this.

Share or tag a bride for us, will ya?
