Join us as we partner with Carry The Load for a Memorial Walk, tomorrow (5/28) at Parker Square at 6:00 p.m. This event is part of Memorial May, a month-long movement honoring the sacrifices of our military, first responders, and their families.

Our walk will begin at Parker Square, make it's way through Rustic Timbers Park, and out to the Flower Mound Police Department front lot for a brief speech honoring and supporting our nation’s heroes, refreshments, and a photo. From there, we will return back to Parker Square.

SUPPORT THE MISSION. HONOR OUR HEROES. TOGETHER, WE CARRY THE LOAD.

Peace Officers Memorial Day is held annually on May 15 in honor of federal, state and local officers killed or disabled in the line of duty. It is observed in conjunction with National Police Week.

The Day of Remembrance was established on October 1, 1961, when Congress asked the President to designate May 15 to honor fallen law enforcement officers. President John F. Kennedy signed the bill into law on October 1, 1962. Each year, the President of the United States proclaims this day as Peace Officers Memorial Day.

For all officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, we have the watch from here and you will never be forgotten.

Have you heard of Narcan and it's effectiveness against an opioid overdose?

If you're unfamiliar or would like additional information, stop by the FM Community Activity Center tonight. Training begins at 7 p.m.

In one week, we’re hosting our first Opioid Emergencies and Narcan Training class. On Wednesday, May 13, join us at the CAC (1200 Gerault Rd.) from 7-8 p.m. to learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, provide appropriate emergency care, and administer Narcan nasal spray to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Each participant will also receive a free two-dose Narcan kit. To register, visit https://tinyurl.com/y6m7n59b.

Can’t make May’s class? No problem. We’re hosting three more sessions this summer:

▪️ Wednesday, June 17, from 7-8 p.m.

▪️ Wednesday, July 15, from 7-8 p.m.

▪️ Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 7-8 p.m.
