In observance of the upcoming Labor Day holiday, multiple Town facilities will have closures next week, and there will be a delay to trash and recycling collection.

Trash, recycling, and bulk collection will not run on Monday, Sept. 7, delaying collection by one day. Monday's customers will be collected on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and so on until collection is complete on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Town facility closures include:

▪️ Flower Mound Town Hall, Municipal Court, Animal Adoption Center, Public Library, and Senior Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7.

▪️ The Community Activity Center will be open with modified hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7.

▪️ This Gibson-Grant Log House will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 5. However, the house will be open for regular hours from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4.

▪️ The Twin Coves Park Office will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7.

Work on Fire Station No. 6 is moving right along! 🚧🚒 Foundation work is underway, with underground utilities being installed and site work nearing completion. Crews plan to pour the foundation in the next few weeks, and once that’s complete, our new station will begin rising above ground level!

We’re still targeting that fall 2027 completion date. And, once complete, the more than 21,000-square-foot station at 6801 Canyon Falls Dr. will strengthen emergency response capabilities in western Flower Mound and support the area’s continued growth.

Everyone: Pumpkin spice season is here! 🧣🍂

Texas: It’s 103. ☀️

We brought a little taste of fall to our Flower Mound police, fire, Public Works, and Parks crews working outside today. Because they deserve pumpkin spice, even if they’re not exactly getting pumpkin-spice weather.

(For now, we’ll be sticking to the iced versions…).

We will reassess the condition of the indoor pool tomorrow and will let you know if it will remain closed another day. Further updates will be posted on the Flower Mound Parks and Recreation page.
