🌟 MEMBER MONDAY: YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO FAR TO GET AWAY 🌟

What if your next getaway was only a four-minute walk from downtown Floyd? 👀

Our second feature today is Green Acres Resort () — a pretty unique place to stay right here in our own backyard.

Green Acres offers a laid-back glamping experience on 16 acres, with restored vintage campers, RV and camping sites, a spring-fed pond and beach, pickleball, lawn games, a community fire pit and plenty of room to simply slow down and breathe.

And that's what makes it such a fun Floyd experience.

You can spend the afternoon swimming or playing pickleball, wander into town for dinner and music, and then come back to your little piece of the countryside for the evening.

🌟 MEMBER MONDAY: A LITTLE FLOYD CREATIVITY 🌟

One of the things that makes Floyd County special is the incredible number of talented makers who turn raw materials into something beautiful — and this week we're celebrating Roseworks Forge & Pottery!

Roseworks Forge & Pottery creates handmade pottery including thrown mugs and bowls, handbuilt pottery wall hangings, and pieces decorated with hand-painted underglazes. Their work has been featured through the Floyd Artisan Trail and local arts events, giving visitors another opportunity to experience the creativity that makes Floyd such a unique arts destination.

There's something pretty special about owning something that wasn't mass-produced — something made by hand, right here in our community.
