***VOLUNTARY WATER CONSERVATION REQUESTED***

The City of Floydada is requesting that citizens voluntarily limit water consumption, especially for lawn irrigation, during this dry spell with temperatures soaring into the 100s. City wells are having to work extra hard to keep up with current demand. The City will also be doing it's part by limiting water irrigation of city properties.

Please do your part to help conserve water so we can try to avoid mandatory water restrictions.

As a reminder, sanitation customers and residents are not allowed to dispose of construction debris in dumpsters. It causes dumpsters to be too heavy to lift and then City employees need to manually clear the dumpsters. People caught placing unauthorized debris in or around dumpsters, or illegally dumping anywhere else, could face fines if caught.

The City of Floydada owns and operates a landfill on Highway 70 about 2 miles east of town. We also provide complimentary dump tickets, 5 per customer per year, worth $25 in value to bring trash and debris where it can be disposed of safely and legally. Please call or come by City Hall to pick up your tickets and ask any other questions.
