COUNTIES THROUGH 945 AM EDT...

At 909 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Glencairn to Banford to Renfro Valley. Movement
was southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Mount Vernon, Jackson, Beattyville, McKee, Booneville, Fincastle,
Turin, Donaro, Travellers Rest, Bummer, Southfork, Cowcreek, Shop
Branch, Tyner, Privett, Earnestville, Noctor, Mershons, Shepherdtown,
and Cruise.

THIS INCLUDES Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile
markers 61 and 64.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT for southeastern
and east central Kentucky.

..FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and
southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, in east
central Kentucky, Elliott, Estill, Menifee and Powell. In
northeast Kentucky, Johnson and Martin. In south central Kentucky,
Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In
southeast Kentucky, Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson,
Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley,
Perry, Pike and Wolfe.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms with torrential downpours may move repeatedly
over the same locations may result in isolated to scattered
instances of flash through late this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

..WINDY CONDITIONS TONIGHT...

Outside of thunderstorms, windy conditions will develop overnight.

South to southwest winds will gust up to 30-40 mph. Winds of this
magnitude can blow around unsecured objects and may make driving
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on east-west
oriented roads.

YARD SALE
Hosted by Fogertown Community Outreach

The yard sale will be open until 7pm today. It will also be open from 9am-7pm tomorrow and Wednesday. If you are interested in setting up a spot, Fogertown Community Outreach asks for a donation to do so. We hope everyone has a blessed day!

JUNE 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Fogertown Fire Department will be having a community yard sale. The event is being hosted by the Fogertown Community Outreach. Please go follow their page for the original post, updates, and to see future events. They will be doing a lot of events throughout the year and it is an amazing group of people who help out tremendously in the community.

The public will be allowed to come and set up their own booths at the fire department. To secure a spot, we ask for a donation to the Fogertown Community Outreach preferably or to the fire department. Outdoor spots will be available depending on weather. Please reach out to the Fogertown Community Outreach page for questions and details on getting a spot or to go ahead and claim a spot. Food and drink will also be available for purchase.

Storms are forecast to organize into east-northeast moving clusters today. This favors damaging wind gusts as the primary hazard type. Marginally severe hail will be possible within the strongest storms, and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out within the slight risk area. The risk is relatively lower south of the KY-80 corridor.

Rain or shine, we are still hosting a fish fry today sponsored by Bill Warren. If you can, please park in the field across from the fire department unless you are handicapped and we can have someone pick you up in our side by side. Try to park closer to the road as to avoid any soft ground farther into the field. As of now the ground is still hard.
