🍯🍎✡︎ Shanah Tova! ✡︎🍎🍯

Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year) for Hebrew Year 5783 begins at sundown on Sunday, 25 September 2022 and ends at nightfall on Tuesday, 27 September 2022.

Rosh Hashanah is the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, and a day of judgment and coronation, and sounding of the shofar, the ancient Jewish musical horn made of a ram's horn. Rosh Hashanah is the first of the High Holidays, a ten day period that ends with Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year.

Rosh Hashanah is two days long and is both a time of rejoicing and of serious introspection, a time to celebrate the completion of another year while also taking stock of one’s life. It is a time of family gatherings, special meals and sweet foods, eating challah bread and apples dipped in honey, as well as other foods that symbolize wishes for a sweet year. ✡︎🍎🍯
