The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs will be coordinating with Twin Cities PBS-TPT to broadcast a virtual Memorial Day program. This program will replace the annual public event hosted by the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery – Little Falls. A 30-minute virtual Memorial Day program entitled “Always Remember: A Minnesota Tribute to Veterans We’ve Lost,” will be broadcast across the state on TPT’s Minnesota Channel at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 25th.

The program will include remarks from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Commissioner Herke, personal stories about those we have lost and honor on Memorial Day, music and a rifle salute traditionally included in a live event.

The cemetery grounds will be open to the public over Memorial Day Weekend, the restrooms and gravesite locator kiosk are also available. We encourage visitors to follow social distancing guidelines in order to keep our families and guests safe.
