Plant Sale at Cooper's Landing

Earlier this month we donated a Home Tour Gift Certificate for 6 to the Breast Cancer silent auction. We then had the group come visit and totally enjoyed the chance to do the tours again. Followed by several inquiries we have decided to offer our tour once more by reservation and offer the Gift Certificate for anyone interested. Our first open dates in December is between the 3rd to the 23th. Come visit our local hidden jewel.

Shout out and update from Cooper's Landing!
First walked thru the doors of the Galley Restaurant at the foot of the Mose Cooper Bridge over the Bon Secour River in fall of 1978 when we bought our homesite. Through these years we watched its ebbs and flows of owners and customers and were sad when the local legendary watering hole closed. It was almost to the date in 2010 as the waves of Deepwater Horizon's oil slick approached the Gulf Coast.
On Saturday afternoon to our delight Diane, myself and neighbor and good friend Jan Dillon had the opprotunity to walk back thru those doors into a fresh, airy and friendly atmosphere of the just reopened "Galley Restaurant".
We met the new proprietors, Kyle & Racheal two young excited and hard working individuals as well as their new born addition to their family.
The food was great, a super burger, the fried shrimp were excellent, the BLT was excellent and the calamari was a hit.
Our first act after our visit was to recommend the place to our Airbnb guests who just arrived in from Texas wanting to eat at a local place before crashing.
A few dent stills are being hammered out, but to all those Galley Rats still out there, come join us and the Turtles who showed up "Down by the Riverside!" at The GALLEY!
Kyle and Racheal keep up the good work and food!

Enjoying the re-opening of our local river hangout for years that was closed for almost a decade. Excited for the couple and their new adventure and excellent food!

Just completed one of our tours with a group of 10 ladies from a garden club yesterday and they all left with plant scraps and fallen moss as memos of their visit. Enjoy sharing all the tales and stories given us over the years with these visitors.
