NOAA's 2026 Hurricane Season Outlook suggests a below-normal season is most likely, with forecasts calling for:

▪️ 8–14 Named Storms
▪️ 3–6 Hurricanes
▪️ 1–3 Major Hurricanes (Category 3+)

While fewer storms may be expected overall, it is important to remember that seasonal outlooks do not predict where storms will go or who will be impacted. History has shown that even years with below-average activity can still produce devastating hurricanes and significant local impacts.

Now is the time to review your emergency plans, update emergency supply kits, and ensure you have multiple ways to receive emergency alerts and warnings.

Best chances for strong storms this afternoon & evening will be in the yellow shaded area.

Showers and storms may still be present outside of the shaded area, and before/after the strong storm timing.

When thunder roars, go indoors!
