Welcome to the Facebook home of Schoolhouse Center, Delaware County's largest senior center! We are slowly re-opening - with your safety always first and are looking forward to our together time at

The great news is that we are offering many outdoor programs, some classes indoors with limited capacity and pre-registration is required, and virtual online Zoom programs for your convenience. We want you to have options for what works best for you. Please know we are always looking for dedicated volunteers to assist us in a variety of areas. I welcome you to contact us and we will work with you to see where you could best serve us and how we can place you where you feel most comfortable. Some needs include: the kitchen, meal drivers, receptionist desk, assisting with special events, phone calls, activities, gardening upkeep, and more. Keep an eye on your monthly calendar for exciting special events and socials, learn a new language, enroll in one of our classes, such as creating beautiful mosaics, or outdoor exercise, Zumba, week day poetry, or music, and so much more! Schoolhouse is a thriving and active center filled with a lot of talented members, and most of all kind people who have enjoyed meeting new people and making friends, enjoying all that we have to offer, and living each day to its fullest with meaning and purpose. We are changing the feel and flavor of a “senior center” and focusing more on our gifts and all we have to offer each other and have yet to experience, rather than any limitations or age, which is just a number! Schoolhouse Center is the flagship senior center in SCS' network of four traditional senior centers.
