Folsom Volunteer Fire Dept.

Folsom Volunteer Fire Dept. Folsom Volunteer Fire Department prides itself on being a professional and agressive department. Located in rural NW. Union County, NM.

The Folsom Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1954 by members of the community who saw a need for a fire department. Since that time Folsom Volunteer Fire Department has undergone dramatic changes. We employ 7 pieces of fire apparatus and 1 command vehicle from 2 stations.

Today, we mourn the heartbreaking loss of two brave firefighters who were senselessly taken from this world by a sniper while serving their community. These heroes ran toward danger, not away from it and paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.

But the danger isn’t over.

As we grieve, our prayers also go out to the first responders still in harm’s way, actively hunting the individual responsible for this cowardly act. These men and women continue to put their lives on the line to protect others, even as the threat remains.

To the families, friends, and brothers and sisters in uniform our hearts are with you. And to those still on the front lines tonight: we stand with you. Stay strong, Stay Relentless!
