Tonight was a big night for our Fire Chief, Bob Hollenbach!

Chief Hollenbach was honored by the Philadelphia Phillies and Toyota⁠ as a Hometown Hero at tonight’s game. He was recognized for his service in the United States Navy and his many years of dedicated volunteer service to the Folsom Fire Company and our community.

We are extremely proud of Chief Hollenbach and thankful for his leadership, dedication, and commitment to serving others. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor.

This evening at 2108 hours, the company was dispatched to 1730 E. MacDade Blvd for a reported fuel spill.

Upon arrival, crews discovered approximately 15 gallons of gasoline spilled near the fuel pumps. Multiple bags of oil dry were used to contain and absorb the fuel, while a nearby storm drain was blocked to prevent gasoline from entering the drainage system.

Crews worked quickly to ensure the area was made safe before returning to service.

Tonight's drill night was highly productive, with our team engaging in driver training and pump operations, utilizing a hydrant to supply water to one truck and then relaying it to another. Ongoing training ensures our members stay prepared and response-ready. 🚒

Join Folsom Fire Company Station 18 on Friday June 5th as they host the Chicago White Sox.
They will be honoring our fire chief, Bob Hollenbach, for his service to our country.
