Fix Folsom Forces Corrupt Cop MELANIE CATANIO Into Early Retirement:

Thank you to everyone in the Coalition that helped us strip this loser of her badge. Oh how the mediocre have fallen!

Here’s a timeline of our TAKEDOWN:

- March 29, 2024: Disgraced former Folsom PD Detective MELANIE CATANIO reported to her current employer Anderson PD, California POST, and Folsom PD for grave misconduct

- April 2024: Anderson PD & Folsom PD open Internal Affairs investigations against CATANIO

- July 7, 2024: CATANIO placed on paid leave from Anderson PD

- Oct 12, 2024: CATANIO served with a deposition subpoena in the Dorris v Folsom case in front of her home, where she appears healthy, mobile, and fully capable of being interviewed (see photo below)

- Feb 12, 2025: CATANIO testified in a deposition in the Dorris v Folsom case and once again appeared healthy, mobile, and fully capable of being interviewed. CATANIO refused to answer dozens of questions about her history of dishonesty and personal bias after she said there was no reason she could not give her best testimony.

- March, 2025: CA POST notifies Fix Folsom in writing that it has opened an active investigation against CATANIO for serious misconduct that could result in her permanent decertification from law enforcement, identified as investigation # POST-2406723

- March 24, 2025: Folsom PD sends disposition letter stating their IA investigation of CATANIO could not disprove each allegation of misconduct (Catanio was not interviewed by FPD IA)

- July, 2025: Superior Court Judge issues order compelling CATANIO to answer the questions she previously refused to answer during her deposition

- September, 2025: CATANIO testified in another deposition in the Dorris v Folsom case and once again appeared healthy, mobile, and fully capable of being interviewed. CATANIO forced by Judge to answer questions related to her veracity, personal bias and professional shortcomings

- October, 2025: CATANIO abruptly and prematurely retired from Anderson PD after refusing to make herself available for an IA interview regarding the complaint filed in March of 2024 for perjury

- Feb 4, 2026: Anderson PD closed out CATANIO investigation WITHOUT INTERVIEWING HER to determine whether she LIED UNDER OATH while employed as an Anderson PD Sergeant

- Today: CATANIO’s lying fat ass is collecting full health and retirement benefits at taxpayer expense while POST and the Shasta District Attorey’s Office complete their respective investigations

Once again, Fix Folsom accurately predicted the future. Last week we posted that CITY ATTORNEY STEVEN WANG would likely be departing soon because of the pending State Bar investigation into the rampant corruption at the Vallejo City Attorney’s Office.

Ominously, we warned that the WORST possible outcome would be for Wang to be replaced by his evil underling ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY SARI MYERS-DIERKING who was repeatedly identified in lawsuits and tort claims filed against City of Folsom for engaging in grave misconduct.

This week, Folsom City Council rewarded Sari Myers-Dierking for years of colluding with corrupt management at Folsom PD by promoting her to Interim City Attorney. This is a slap in the face to everyone at Folsom PD who has worked to improve the morale of officers because it effectively ratifies the rampant misconduct by SARI MYERS-DIERKING and her cronies like disgraced former Chief Rick Hillman, Commander Lockhart, and Lt David Canepa.

FAFO: The State Bar of California is investigating serious misconduct by attorneys in the Vallejo City Attorney’s Office.

The Folsom City Attorney’s Office should be investigated next - particularly the disturbing pattern of unethical behavior by ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY SARI MYERS-DIERKING that resulted in numerous lawsuits and tort claims filed by former Folsom PD officers and members of the public.

Who’s taking wagers on how long until Folsom City Attorney Steven Wang announces his retirement? We are willing to bet that Wang will be motivated by this investigation to G**O of Folsom in 2026. Now that he sees the State Bar cracking down on City Attorneys who disguise their criminal behavior as legal advice, he’s going to run for the hills.

The worst possible outcome for Folsom taxpayers would be for Assistant City Attorney Sari Myers-Dierking to be promoted to City Attorney. Stink. Stank. Stunk.

The media called out the City’s hypocrisy for denying misconduct after our July 2024 press conference and claiming the James Dorris case was untrue. 🤥

Not surprisingly, CITY’s outside counsel at the law firm ANGELO, KILDAY, & KILDUFF cannot seem to hire anyone who is not a COMPLETE MORON. Their law school graduate Slater Bleichner-Jones FAILED the California Bar exam AGAIN. This is the second time she has taken the bar without passing.

Your tax dollars have been paying for this woman to “defend” the City of Folsom against meritorious claims when anyone with half a brain 🧠 would have settled the claims brought by former officers long ago. Instead, lead attorney CAROLEE KILDUFF “runs the meter” by charging excessive fees for imbeciles to fight cases the City cannot win. Duh! Time for Chief Ulibarri to start attending depositions and settlement conferences instead of delegating those responsibilities to dumb asses.

Fix Folsom’s favorite shero GALINA DORRIS passed the California Bar Exam AND received an award from the California State Senate today!! We could not be more proud of this baddie!!

Not only is she stunning 😍 (as you can see from this photo of her on the red carpet today), but more importantly, she is smart, hard-working, and dedicated to obtaining just results for underserved clients. Decades of Folsom PD corruption EXPOSED by sworn testimony of a retired officer!!!

UPDATE: Victim’s sworn declaration has been added to the photos. Her name and the name of the other teenage victim were redacted to protect their privacy.

The docket in the Laura Knudsen v City of Folsom lawsuit (Sacramento Superior Court Case # 24CV011111) now contains the deposition transcript of retired Officer Dennis O’Connor as an exhibit to the declaration filed in support of Plaintiff’s Pitchess motion. The 300-page transcript reads like a movie script detailing 30+ years of cover-ups by senior management at the Folsom Police Department:

- sexual abuse of teenage volunteers on taxpayer time by mutliple sworn officers who were reported but never disciplined (Perry Albers was known by FPD to have engaged in lurid sexual acts with a 19 year old in the Explorer Program on City time before shooting 19 year old Ty Kim in the back because FPD failed to take away Albers’ gun/badge…Albers was later promoted to Lt AFTER he fu**ed a 19 year old girl on duty and tried to kill a 19 year old boy on duty!)

- financial influence over FPD IA & management decisions exerted by Officer Brian Lockhart’s rich daddy (founder of the Folsom Police Foundation) and disgraced Sgt Sheldon Sterling to protect white officers who engaged in horrific misconduct at work

- retaliation against HONEST cops (O’Connor, Limon and others) who reported GRAVE misconduct that they observed by other officers, including threats at work, pigeon-holed careers, dead snakes being placed on their patrol car, and other NASTY threats

- tolerance for sexual harassment by FPD supervisors against multiple female employees

- plethora of sordid misconduct that was reported to the City and ratified by top brass at FPD

Our hearts go out to the teenage girls who were SEXUALLY VICTIMIZED by FPD, then threatened by City management when they finally summoned the courage to report their abuse…it was pure EVIL to threaten a young girl who had been gang r***d that the City would make her out to be a w***e if she went public with her claims.

When will Folsom taxpayers RISE UP and demand accountability!? Chief Ulibarri needs to place BRIAN LOCKHART on administrative leave, open an investigation, and CLEAN UP the Department!!! It’s never too late to do the right thing.

Hallelujah, sweet Jesus! Justice for Sonya Massey’s brutal murder was served today.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Massey family as they continue to grieve and process this unthinkably tragic killing.

THANK YOU to the jurors for holding this corrupt cop accountable and to DEPUTY FARLEY who testified truthfully for the prosecution about his partner’s gross misconduct. Together, they brought a killer to justice.

The “thin blue line” should not protect thugs with badges who kill innocent people in cold blood. Body cameras and honest cops will usher in a new era of policing to ensure “liberty and justice for all.”

Sadly, Folsom PD and their thug cop PERRY ALBERS were never held accountable for shooting 19 year-old Ty Kim IN THE BACK years ago. Nah, they decided to promote and protect ALBERS despite his track record of lying and using deadly force. Their time is up.

Former FPD Officer Homer Limon filed a Pitchess motion today seeking access to certain personnel records of COMMANDER BRIAN LOCKHART and LT JEANA MARENDT.

The affidavit in support of the Pitchess motion contained truth bombs about the clique of favored officers at FPD and their tolerance of grave sexual misconduct even before Lockhart’s employment. 💣
