You may recognize Brittany as one of the faces of the “One Pill Can Kill” billboards, but recently, students got to experience something even more powerful… her voice. 💜
Brittany joined us in visiting the high school to share her personal story of addiction, recovery, resilience, and hope. Through honesty and courage, she reminded students that real stories from real people can leave a lasting impact.
And the impact was clear. After the presentation, we received several handmade thank you cards from students sharing what they took away from hearing Brittany speak. Their messages were thoughtful, heartfelt, and a reminder that prevention conversations truly matter.
Prevention works. Stories matter. And when communities come together to educate, support, and inspire our youth, we build a stronger and healthier future for everyone.
Thank you, Brittany, for being both a face AND a voice for prevention. ✨

🌼 Nurses Week Spotlight: Becky 🌼
Today we’re proud to recognize Becky, one of our dedicated outpatient nurses here at Fond du Lac County Human Services.
Becky began her journey in 2020 as a CNA on the Acute Unit, where she discovered her passion for mental health. While working night shifts, she completed an accelerated Bachelor of Nursing program and transitioned into an RN role on the Acute Unit, providing patient care, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams, and responding to crisis calls.
In 2023, Becky moved into her current role as an Outpatient Behavioral Health RN, where she continues to make a meaningful impact in the community.
In her role, Becky administers long-acting injections for mental health and AODA, including Vivitrol, and has played a key role in coordinating and implementing the MAT (Vivitrol) program for jail clients, while also helping coordinate future MAT services. She supports individuals in the CCS program, assists with community outreach and mental health commitments, and provides phone triage, helping bridge communication between clients and providers.
Becky also completes medication prior authorizations to ensure individuals can access the medications they need and collaborates closely with therapists, case managers, and AODA staff to provide well-rounded, supportive care.
Her favorite part of the job is advocating for clients who may not have support, making sure someone is always in their corner.
Thank you, Becky, for your dedication, compassion, and the difference you make every day. 💙
