**TOWN OFFICES CLOSED – MONDAY 1/26
Due to the predicted snowstorm, Town of Mohawk offices will be closed on Monday, January 26 for the safety of our residents and employees.
We ask everyone to avoid unnecessary travel. If you must be on the roads, please give our snowplows plenty of space so they can do their jobs safely and efficiently.
A huge thank you to our Highway Department for their hard work and dedication in keeping our community safe during winter weather. ❄️🚜

The Town is seeking community‑minded residents to join the Board of Assessment Review (BAR). If you’ve ever wanted to get involved locally and help ensure fairness in the assessment process, this is a great opportunity to step in. This board meets once a year.
What the BAR Does:
• Reviews property assessment complaints from residents
• Listens to evidence presented by property owners and the assessor
• Evaluates information to determine whether an assessment should be adjusted
• Ensures assessments are fair, equitable, and in line with state guidelines
• Participates in annual Grievance Day hearings
• Signs and files official decisions on assessment challenges
No prior experience is required — just a willingness to learn, be fair, and serve your community.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – VILLAGE OF FONDA 🚧

The Village of Fonda will be repairing a waterline on Cemetery Street next Wednesday, November 26.

Cemetery Street will be closed from Main Street to the entrance of the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District. The road will be closed to all traffic during the repair.

Anyone with questions should contact the Village of Fonda directly.

Please plan ahead and use alternate routes. Thank you for your patience.

We currently have a vacancy on our Zoning Board and are seeking an individual who would be interested in filling it. Meetings are the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30.
