Congratulations to Explorers Smith, Herrera, and Moran for graduating from the Fontana PD Basic Explorer Academy on Saturday, July 16th. It was a tough week but they persevered and completed the Academy. They are now official PPD Post 160 Explorers! This is only the beginning of their law enforcement journey; we are excited to watch them grow in the years to come! Congrats Explorers!

Early this morning, the Pomona Police Explorers assisted the Pomona Optimist Club with taking several children of our community on a shopping spree. The Pomona Police Explorers supported the children as they choose some cool looking clothes for themselves.

Thank You Pomona Optimist Club and Walmart for allowing us to be a part of this special moment.

On Tuesday, CSO’s Hernandez, Macy, and Diaz stopped by our weekly scheduled Explorer Meeting with Costco Pizza and $500.00 in cash!

Last week, during the National Night Out event the Explorers assisted the Crime Prevention Unit by setting up tables and chairs, putting up the easy ups, distributing food, escorting vendors to their assigned tables, the presentation of colors for the Pledge of Allegiance, along with several other things.

It was at this event where they were able to fundraise money for their Explorer Post. This could have not been possible without the support of our Police Department, the Kiwanis club, and most importantly without the support of our community members!
