This September, the Town of Forest City is shining a light on Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month by glowing teal all month long. Our illuminated fountain is dedicated to Turn the Towns Teal Inc., a national campaign focused on sharing important information about ovarian cancer, any risk factors, and how to catch symptoms.

We are proud to stand alongside our Town Attorney, Beth Miller, an inspiring survivor and passionate advocate, as she emphasizes the life-saving impact of being aware and early detection. Together, we can spread knowledge, encourage health checks, and support the fighters in our community.

On Monday, September 14th, our water crew will be replacing a fire hydrant at the corner of E Main St and S Powell St. Starting at 6:00 AM, S Powell St will be closed from E Main St to Huntley Alley until the repair is complete. We do not have an exact end time at this point, but signs and cones will be set up to direct traffic and pedestrians.
