“448 WHOLE LOTTA WEIGHT” — CASE UPDATE
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Two defendants connected to the “448 Whole Lotta Weight” investigation have been sentenced to a combined nearly 29 years in prison for fentanyl-related offenses.
On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Keanthony Cavion Lowrance of Forest City, NC, was sentenced to a minimum of 18.75 years in state prison for two counts of Trafficking Fentanyl.
On Thursday, August 27, 2026, Ricketta Ann Twitty of Bostic, NC, was sentenced in Asheville to 10 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
These sentences are the result of strong investigative work and cooperation between the Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, Fi****ms and Explosives (ATF), Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, and Forest City Police Department.
