At last night's school board meeting, Linda Harrington was appointed by the Board as the interim Director for Position 4. Welcome Linda!

The open position was created after Kate Grandusky resigned her position several weeks ago in preparation for moving out of state. Eight individuals submitted their applications for the position. During last night's meeting, each candidate present was asked additional questions from the Board members. After discussion, deliberation, and nominations, Linda Harrington was appointed with a unanimous vote.

"I am honored to have been selected for this position left by Kate Grandusky's resignation," commented Harrington. "I know it was a tough decision for the Board; as they stated many times during the process. All of the candidates were great candidates! I am so looking forward to serving our students, their families and the greater FGSD community for the 26-27 school year ahead, as a member of the FGSD School Board!"

A huge shoutout to the incredible volunteers of the Weekend Food Backpack Program!

This amazing program was started years ago by members of the Forest Grove Elks Lodge, including Alice Custodio, to ensure students have nutritious food over the weekend. At this week’s school board meeting, this dedicated team was officially recognized for their heart, hustle, and unwavering commitment to our FGSD students in need.

Just how incredible are they? This school year alone, this team has delivered more than 4,000 food backpacks to students at each of our schools.
