All roadways impacted by this morning’s train vs. vehicle accident are now OPEN and traffic is returning to normal.

🚨 TRAFFIC UPDATE – ANGLIN BRIDGE REOPENING 🚨

Good news, Forest Hill! The Anglin Bridge is ready to reopen!

🚧 Crews will continue final work tonight, August 6, which may require temporary closures.

✅ Beginning at 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, the bridge will be OPEN to traffic.

⚠️ Traffic signals will be flashing red for most of Friday morning, so please use caution, expect delays, and allow extra travel time as everyone adjusts to the new traffic pattern.

Thank you for your patience throughout this project. Please slow down, stay alert, and drive safely!

The Forest Hill Police Department honors the memory of:

🖤 Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens
🖤 Officer Michael Krol
🖤 Sergeant Michael J. Smith
🖤 Officer Patrick Zamarripa
🖤 Officer Brent Thompson (DART Police)

We also remember the officers who were wounded and all first responders who answered the call that night.

As we reflect on this solemn anniversary, we ask our community to join us in remembering these heroes and keeping their families, friends, and fellow officers in your thoughts.

We will never forget.
