The Metropolitan Mosquito Control District (MMCD) will be out in the community applying mosquito control treatments!

👀 If you spot MMCD drones flying over wetlands or standing water, here’s what’s happening:

✅ Drones apply a dry granule to control mosquito larvae
✅ Safe for people, pets, and wildlife
✅ Pilots always keep the drones in sight

These efforts help reduce the mosquito population—thank you for your patience as MMCD crews continue their important work!

City of Forest Lake offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing community! 🍩☕🚔

During this year’s Dunkin’ Cop on a Rooftop event, Forest Lake proudly placed 3rd in the entire state for donations supporting Special Olympics Minnesota! And........it was our FIRST year hosting here in the city!

Forest Lake Dunkin' raised $2,240 and the state of MN as a whole raised a whopping $53,311!!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped by, donated, grabbed a coffee, honked, waved, and helped make the event such a success. Your generosity and support mean so much — not only to our officers, but especially to the athletes and families impacted by these donations.

Forest Lake continues to show what community is all about. Thank you for helping us make a difference!

Wow!!!!!!! The 1st Annual FLPD Cops & Cars Car Show was a huge success!!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out, brought vehicles to show, supported our FLPRA, food trucks, vendors, community, and made the day better than we ever imagined.

The turnout absolutely blew us away, and seeing families, friends, and car lovers all come together made it even more special.

From classic muscle to custom builds — and plenty of flashing lights — this event was one for the books. We’re already excited for next year!
