Public Notice: A temporary road closure is currently in effect for a portion of Forest Parkway (from Ash Street to Lake Drive). At this time, both the eastbound and westbound traffic lanes on Forest Parkway have been blocked off in order for crews to respond to a gas leak near the Former Eckerd/Rite Aide building.

Both the Forest Park Fire and Emergency Services Department and Forest Park Police Department are currently responding to the incident and assisting with the flow of vehicular traffic. Residents and motorists are encouraged to avoid the immediate area and follow all detour or traffic control measures.

⚠️ FRIENDLY COMPETITION. SERIOUS TEAMWORK. Forest Park Fire & Emergency Services hosted an physical fitness challenge over at Fire Station #1 featuring A-Shift vs. B-Shift and trust us, the competition did not disappoint! From start to finish, crews battled through every obstacle with determination, teamwork and plenty of station pride.

πŸ†Congratulations to B-Shift for taking home the win! No matter the shift, one thing is clear: our firefighters train hard to stay ready for every call, every day.
