☀️🚒 Even in the summer heat, our intense training never misses a beat! Team members with the Forest Park Fire & Emergency Services Department recently put their skills to the test with hands-on motor vehicle collision training. Our incredible emergency crews had the opportunity to practice:

🚗 Vehicle stabilization
🩺 Patient packaging
🚨 Victim removal and extrication

The goal? Secure the scene, protect the patient, and get the job done safely and efficiently. Every movement matters when seconds count. Check out some of the video footage from this month's training exercises.

Stacks of pancakes were high, smiles were even bigger and the syrup was definitely flowing! 🥞😄 We had such an incredible turnout for our 2026 State of the Fire Department and Pancake Breakfast. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to eat, connect with department personnel and learn more about the our outstanding accomplishments, as well as what's ahead. We'd be remis if we didn't give a HUGE shoutout to our firefighters, EMS personnel, elected officials and everyone who helped make this event possible.

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted for North End of Clayton County

MORROW, GA, (July 28, 2026) – Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory for customers in the north end of Clayton County that experienced temporary low pressure or no water on July 27. All water quality test samples came back negative of any harmful bacteria and the water is safe to consume.

The advisory was issued as a precaution after a pump station failure occurred and caused a system outage. The incident affected customers in Forest Park, Morrow, Riverdale and Lake City. Customers in other areas of the county were not affected and did not need to boil their water.

Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has been notified. Information was sent to local media, posted and updated on the CCWA website.

☀️🌡️ We know we're not the only ones feeling the heat this summer. Here are some great safety tips from the Forest Park Fire & Emergency Services Department on ways to protect yourself and those around you during periods of extreme heat.

According to the National Weather Service, heat is one of the leading weather-related killers in the nation, resulting in hundreds of fatalities each year. A little preparation can go a long way in preventing heat-related illness. To protect your health when temperatures are extremely high, remember to stay cool, stay hydrated and stay safe.

HAPPENING NOW: Emergency crews are responding to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Forest Parkway and Lake Drive as of 3:05 p.m. Both eastbound and westbound traffic lanes on Forest Parkway remain open. The extent of injuries are unknown at this time.

Efforts are underway to have the impacted vehicle towed away from the scene. Motorists are being encouraged to slow down and exercise caution near the immediate area.
