City of Forest Park offices will be closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 AM.

Emergency services will continue to operate without interruption.

UPDATE: Mr. Reed was located and is safe.

The Forest Park Police Department has issued a statewide Missing Adult Alert for an 86-year-old man who has been missing since Saturday.

Police reported that James R. Reed was last seen driving a gray 2026 Honda Accord with an Ohio temporary license plate number V662060, leaving his home on Holyoke Drive around 5:30 p.m.

Reed is described as a man who is five feet nine inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Police say he possibly suffers from dementia, though it has not been diagnosed by a doctor. His clothing description is unknown.

The vehicle was last seen at 6:41 p.m. on Saturday, on West Fork Road at Township Limits, traveling westbound, officers said.

Anyone who sees Reed or the vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Forest Park Police Department at (513) 595-5220.

Forest Park Residents: September Chipper Service

The next monthly Chipper Service takes place September 14–18. To ensure your material is collected, please place items at the curb the evening before your pickup day or no later than 7:00 AM.

Service Time Limit
Crews are allotted up to 10 minutes per household. Any remaining material must be removed and can be set out again next month.

Placement Guidelines
• Limbs must be under 8 inches in diameter
• Keep branches as long as possible
• Stack branches neatly with cut ends facing the curb
• If material extends past the sidewalk, place it parallel to the street with cut ends facing the direction of traffic
• Do not bundle brush or place material in containers

Items That Cannot Be Collected
• Old firewood, lumber, split‑rail fencing
• Roots or stumps
• Contractor‑generated material
• Leaves, twigs, or small clippings (place these in your Rumpke garbage can)

A door tag will be placed on any house with uncollected material, noting the reason. Once corrected, the material may be set out for the next month’s collection.
