Fire District #1 wants to remind everybody to use caution while heating your homes. Firefighters have battled two structure fires within a 24-hour period!

Heating Safety Tip:

As a general rule of thumb, follow the 3-foot rule. Do not put anything within three feet of your wall heater. This applies to all types of heaters, not just the ones you mount on your wall. If you follow this, you will substantially lower your risk of fire!

Stay warm and stay safe!

On 9/28/16 Firefighter Nik Ness utilized the fire districts pet oxygen masks donated by the Invisible Fence® Brand’s Project Breathe™. The dog and cat both responded well to the smoke inhalation treatment and have since recovered!
