The City of Forney will participate in a statewide test of local emergency alerting systems on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in coordination with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).

As part of this effort, Forney’s monthly outdoor warning siren test will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2nd, instead of its regularly scheduled first Wednesday of the month, to coincide with the statewide drill. The City will also test its mass notification system, Everbridge, at the same time.

This coordinated test is designed to assess the effectiveness, reliability, and timeliness of public warning systems across Texas. The City of Forney, along with partners statewide, will use this opportunity to verify procedures, confirm system readiness, and identify any areas for improvement.

This is only a test, and no action is required from the public.
