We hope you are enjoying these first few days of summer! As we wrapped up another incredible school year, we took time to celebrate not only our students, but also the outstanding staff members who contributed so much to the success of our campus.

We proudly re-recognized our TIA designated teachers and our Teacher of the Year, and we were thrilled to announce and celebrate our Para of the Year, Ms. Mitzi Daniel. Mitzi is a vital asset to our team and we were so thrilled to acknowledge the positive impact she has on our campus each day.

We took time to honor staff members for their years of dedicated service in Forney ISD and recognized our Quarter 4 District Values recipients. We are grateful for the many ways each of these staff members lives out our district values each and every day. Finally, we celebrated two amazing Claybon Cowboys as they stepped into retirement - Mrs. Becky Fischbeck and Mrs. Gloria Canales. Our campus shines because of the dedication, passion, and hard work of our incredible team.

Today was an absolute blast at Claybon! Students from every grade level who met their growth goals earned a chance to celebrate in a BIG way… by soaking the principals with water balloons!

Needless to say, our principals ended the day completely drenched — and smiling every second of it. We are beyond proud of the hard work, perseverance, and dedication our students have shown all year long. They didn’t just rise to the challenge… they crushed it!

What a fun way to celebrate growth, achievement, and a year of giving it their all. Way to go, Cowboys — you earned every splash!

Good afternoon, Claybon families!

There is potential for inclement weather at dismissal today, so please review the following dismissal plan, should we need to adjust our normal routine. If lightning is within a 8 mile radius, we will shift to our "inclement weather dismissal plan".

Inclement Weather Dismissal Plan:
Buses will run, as normal (unless otherwise communicated by the FISD transportation
department).

Walkers will be held on campus until lightning has moved out of the area. They will be placed in the car rider pick up lane while they wait on campus.

Car riders will be held on campus until lightning has moved out of the area. **If you would like to pick up your child, you will need to bring your orange or yellow car tag to the front porch to do so. To ensure the safety of our afternoon dismissal crew when lightning is
present, staff members will be stationed beneath the front awning of our building to assist
with dismissal.

Expect delays as you travel through the line. We kindly ask for your patience and cooperation and we prioritize the safety of all!

Our Quarter 4 Super Scholar Celebrations were a huge success today! 🎉 We had so much fun celebrating our students and their amazing achievements. We are always proud to recognize the hard work, determination, and incredible character that shine throughout our school each and every day.
