I’m wanting to post pictures and information so you can get an idea of who I am, what I love and value, and maybe even where you might guess I’ll stand on certain issues.
I’m beginning with this because its what I was think about when FB posted the question.
This is the team of men I was embedded with in Afghanistan in 2009-2010. It is Team Puma of the 33rd IBCT. We were stationed in Nerkh District … Maiden Shar and Wardak provinces on FOB (Forward Observation Base) Airborne.
These are some of the finest men and warriors I have ever known, and I was/am humbled to have been there with them. I love them … and the represent the America I want to live in. They represent the finest of our country. They deserve to be first for our help and assistance, and not placed last behind criminals, illegals, and any who trash our country.
These men make us the greatest nation ever … but we are losing that status and being destroyed from within.
Thank you brothers …

Thanks again everyone. It was close. Good news story.

Tuesday’s election saw some write-in candidates beating candidates already listed on the ballot.

Thanks to you all...
What a long day yesterday and sleepless night last night was.
While nothing is “official” until Friday when everything has been gone through and certified, I wanted to say this without conceding or contesting anything. I am strictly going by what the news reported last night.
First, let me say congratulations to Mayor Kelly Dougherty for her win in the election last night. I appreciate her dedication and service and will always keep her and our city leaders in my prayers. I will also always be available to them to help or give any assistance I can should they ever ask or want it. We all want Forsyth to prosper and be great, so I will do whatever I can to help with that.
Second, I cannot state my thanks enough for all the support, encouragement, and prayers that I received throughout this whole campaign. It is truly humbling to me that 98 citizens inside Forsyth city limits took time to get out and vote for me. I had LOTS of people who said they wanted to vote for me but lived outside the city limits which was also overwhelming and humbling.
Even though the election didn’t go as I (and us) would have hoped, I have been encouraged by how many awesome people I have been able to meet, and how many new friends I have made. This community has such wonderful people who love this city and area, and I believe we can all continue to work TOGETHER to make it great. I was blessed to be able to meet with so many of you and listen to your ideas and opinions.
While I am more appreciative than you can ever know for your kindness and support, I also want to tell you that I am sorry for letting you down and not winning.
I knew that being a no named write-in candidate was a very uphill battle, but I believe we definitely did well. Losing by only 12 votes was very close and I am so thankful to you all because you made it such a tight race ... not me. While losing stings more than I thought it would ... it is just a fact of life. Win or lose ... we move on and forward TOGETHER!!! This town is all of ours, and I encourage everyone to get in and stay involved. Go to the meetings, make your voice heard, and expect excellence and honor from our leaders. Further, demand fairness and equality for every single person regardless of class, money, position, or how long they’ve been here.
We need to emphasize to everyone the importance of voting and being involved. We should never expect the government to tell us what “we need to know” or to “keep us informed”. It is our job as citizens to be informed and BE the change we desire. We cannot be divided ... we cannot get ahead by being “us vs. them”. We need each other. WE ARE AMERICANS!!!
So as the great Ron Burgandy once said ... “stay classy Forsyth”.
Come on, we all need to lighten up and laugh a little right?
Thank you all again for your support and encouragement, and never forget that the best decision you will ever make is not for a candidate ... it is to accept and follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. May He be glorified in everything!!!

I would appreciate your vote and prayers.
God bless AMERICA!!!
Don’t forget that I’m a write-in ...
“Robert Quillin” on the write-in line.

When Forsyth residents head to the polls for the General Municipal Election on April 6 one of the decisions they will be asked to make is choosing a Mayor.

Beautiful day in Forsyth today to have church and an afternoon with the dogs, kids, and grand baby.

9 DAYS till Election Day!!!!

So glad I have gotten to meet so many nice folks here in Forsyth.
As your Mayor ... I WILL listen to you and speak up for you ... for what the majority wants, not just certain ones.
I WILL want you to come to, be a part of, and welcome you to the meetings, ask you to plug in, and have a say in ALL of our city so it works best for everyone.

I appreciate your support, encouragement, and so many prayers.
I have to say ... for every nasty and negative remark or comment I get ... I hear five positive and encouraging ones. Just one more reason the Ozarks are an awesome place to live.
God bless!!!

This is a post I put on someone’s FB who had suggested boycotting of businesses who support my opponent. While I appreciate all the support, here is how I feel about boycotting and “canceling”.

As I’ve read this thread and all the input, I appreciate the opportunity to share what I think since I am a Mayoral candidate.
First, I appreciate every bit of support and encouragement I have received from this process so far. Thank you.
As for boycotting of any business because they might support my running opponent instead of me? No. I don’t want to see ANY business in Forsyth lose money or fail. I want to see EVERY business in Forsyth do well. I want more business here. I want more growth and prosperity right here in our town.
Boycotting and “cancelling” is exactly what the left does that so many of us think is wrong. Why would we do what they do?
What I have found in this process is how small minded many people are. I have had people tell me they don’t like me (a couple have even used the word hate) even though they’ve never even met me. All they know of me is through Facebook. I have been told how I have no business here or running because I’m not “local” so I shouldn’t have a say. I’ve been told lots of crazy things, but none of it matters. Here’s the truth ... win or lose, Forsyth is my home ... I AM NOT LEAVING, so I want the town to be better than it’s ever been. I want it to flourish with business, money, new ideas, and growth. I don’t want to stay “where we’ve always been”, I want better, and I think that means supporting our businesses right here!
I want new ideas and energy in our city, and I think I can help that. I want some positions filled with better qualified, even tempered, ethical, and professional people. I want to see some new blood get a chance to run, lead, and make some needed changes and updates. I want openness and honesty. I want Forsyth to be where businesses come to thrive, not where they come to die or be neglected.
Until we get out of this petulant mindset of “your side/my side”, then all we are doing is slowly breathing to death.
So ... support FORSYTH!!! If you support me but see a business supporting Mayor Dougherty, then just talk to them ... share ideas ... be rational and use logic and facts. Let’s stop belittling everyone who is “against” us and just move forward ... either with them on the train, or with them being left behind. We need to work together to
MAKE FORSYTH GREAT AGAIN!!!
Now ... for all the trolls ... let the bashing begin ...
