Elder abuse affects 1 in 10 older adults and is often committed by someone the victim knows—a caregiver, family member, or trusted individual. It can take many forms, including:

County offices will close at Noon on December 24th and re-open at 8am on December 26th.
We want to thank everyone that contributed to our holiday drive for our clients in guardianship. It was a huge success!

Merry Grinch-mas! We are still accepting donations for our folks for Christmas. Come on by to see our office decor and drop off any donations you can help out with. Or, just come see our office and feel free to take a picture of your little ones.
Donations being accepted: twin size or lap blankets, hygiene products, socks and candy.

It's that time again! We are gathering items for our folks in guardianship for Christmas. This year we are doing things a bit differently. We know the economy is not the greatest right now and we appreciate anything that you can donate. Keep in mind, most of these people live in nursing homes or residential institutions and have no family.

We are asking for donations of new blankets (twin size or lap size), hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, solid deodorant and lotion) and socks for men and women. And, if you're feeling festive, some bagged candy (both regular and sugar free) is always appreciated. Items can be dropped off at the Public Administrator's office in the Judicial Building here in Forsyth during business hours. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call.

Thanks for your help with this project. We appreciate the community support we have received in the past and hope it continues into the future!
