This evening, the agency had the privilege of awarding Life Member status upon a dedicated member.

A Life Member is defined as an individual who has completed 10 years of service with the agency or has volunteered 1600 hours over a period of five or more years.

The Fort Ann Rescue Squad was honored to present Deputy Chief Haley Noble with her Life Member status.

Deputy Chief Noble started her journey with the agency in 2020 as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and subsequently earned her New York State Paramedic certification in 2022. In the same year, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. In 2023, Haley was promoted to Deputy Chief, a position she currently holds. As a key member of our operational staff and a long-standing member of our Board of Directors, Deputy Chief Noble has played a pivotal role in shaping the agency. She continues to embody the agency's core values and dedicates time to mentoring the next generation of EMTs.

During her time, Deputy Chief Noble has volunteered a total of 2450 hours and responded to 1470 calls. Tonight, she was presented with this well-deserved Life Member status by the agency's membership. Congratulations are in order for Deputy Chief Haley Noble on this significant achievement.

Today the Fort Ann Rescue Squad achieved a significant milestone, further enhancing our expertise in delivering exceptional patient care after working diligently over the last year to increase knowledge and skill.

Over the last year we have worked closely with our Medical Director, and today all Fort Ann Paramedics completed their first round of training with our new Hamilton T-1 Ventilator. This first round of training was completed with NYS CIC and Paramedic Instructor Jim McMullen.

In the coming months when our Vent is placed in service we will be able to provide patients services that are rarely done in the field which are highly needed in our region.

Thank you to all Fort Ann members who continue to support the mission with forward thinking and an extremely positive attitude.

This morning at 0815hrs the Fort Ann Rescue Squad was dispatched with Fort Ann Fire for a reported garage fire. Fort Ann Rescue within minutes responded three ambulances and its onduty medic car. Crews on scene set up rehab and assisted the fire dept with additional needs. Our fourth Ambulance responded shortly after but was diverted to an additional 911 call in our district. One patient was transported from the fire scene.

Huge Shout out to our Brothers and sisters at the Fort Ann Volunteer Fire Company and neighboring Dept, Amazing job at stopping any additional loss to property.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Fitzgerald Family & Fort Edward Rescue Squad on the loss of one of there members. Many here at Fort Ann knew Patty as a one of a kind women who spread so much joy in this world, she always leant an ear when someone needed help. She will be deeply missed.

It is with deep sadness that on behalf of the members of the Fort Edward Rescue Squad, Inc. announce the passing of Life Member Patty Fitzgerald, EMT #414.

Patty dedicated many years of service to our squad and to the community we proudly serve. Her commitment to helping others, her compassion for patients, and her dedication to emergency medical services made a lasting impact on our organization and on the countless lives she touched throughout her years of service.

Patty was more than just a member of our squad — she was part of the Fort Edward Rescue Squad family. Her dedication and spirit will always be remembered by those who had the privilege of serving alongside her.

On behalf of the officers, members, and Board of Directors of the Fort Edward Rescue Squad, we extend our deepest condolences to Patty’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

We ask that you keep Patty and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Arrangements will be shared once they become available.

Rest easy Patty. Thank you for your service.

Respectfully,
Connor J. Smith
Chief Operations Officer
