Since 2014 Ronald "Ron" VanGorder has spent every wednesday dedicated to the service members and military families who call this house home. A Vietnam Veteran and former linguist, Ron possesses a profound understanding of military life that bridges the gap between generations. Whether he is sharing a treasured story with a guest or quietly mopping the kitchen floor, Ron is far more than a volunteer. This spring, we honor him as a deeply cherished “Friend of the Fisher House” whose decade of service has left a mark on all of us.
