Moving is stressful no matter if you are moving to another overseas, to another state, or just down the block. Taking an inventory of your belongings is one way that will help you take control of your move.

Here are some tips on how to conduct an inventory:

- Take pictures and videos of your items.

- Record the serial numbers of your items.

- Keep your inventory list and a safe place and make sure that you have copies.

- Update your list often as you may decide to sell or get rid of things.

The movers will inventory do an inventory of your belongings but their list won't have the items worth nore condition. Make sure to have your own inventory to make sure you cover your own bases.

Please remember that the Relocation Assistance Program is happy to help you with all of your relocation needs!
