CONGRATULATIONS TO KRISTEN HERSHBERGER
THE HQ PEER AWARD PROGRAM RECIPIENT FOR 1st QUARTER FY2023
Kristen is a team player and is always willing to go above and beyond to meet deadlines and provide extra support to J82 team members. During the past quarter, she has been a valuable asset not only to me as a new J82 employee learning the workload during fiscal year end but also in taking on additional responsibilities as we lost two team members that have not been replaced along with a third team member out on extended leave. In the past quarter, she completed the following tasks above and beyond her normal workload:
Completed consolidation of the FY22Q4 DLA DAR-Q response and submitted to OUSD prior to its due date
Wrote five Corrective Action Plans (CAP) that were unassigned due to the employee responsible leaving the agency or out on extended leave
Taught a new J82 employee the SOC 1 process and elevated any needs/issues
All the tasks mentioned above fall outside Kristen’s day to day responsibilities. She is willing to step in to provide help and training and complete tasks above her normal workload. We need more J8 employees like Kristen who are willing to go above and beyond to make the J8 organization a better place.
