This week, the U.S. Army Reserve hosted at Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall in Arlington, Virginia, starting with Lt. Gen. Robert D. Harter, 35th Chief of Army Reserve and Commanding General of U.S. Army Reserve Command, administering the oath of re-enlistment to 56 Soldiers, reaffirming their commitment to defend the nation.
Each Soldier taking the field represented their home state or U.S. territory, embodying the Citizen-Soldier spirit and the Army Reserve's nationwide reach.
We appreciate our Private Public Partners in attendance representing NBCUniversal, RecruitMilitary, and GE HealthCare. Our partnerships reflect our commitment to connecting highly skilled Soldiers with civilian employment opportunities across the country.
The hour-long military pageant, held in the Washington, D.C., area, featured performances by the U.S. Army Blues, the U.S. Army Band Downrange, the Commander-in-Chief's Guard, the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and the United States Army Drill Team, alongside elite ceremonial units from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The United States Army Band ("Pershing's Own").
