The following Access Control Point (ACP) Gates are available to ALL DoD ID Card Holders and Approved Installation Pass Holders (within the following hours):
Lieber Gate ACP – 24/7 Access.
Pence Gate ACP – 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (7 days a week).
Kingman Gate ACP – 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Entrance. 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m Egress/Exit only. (Monday – Friday).
All Visitors (without approved passes) and Commercial traffic are being processed through the temporary Visitor Control Center (VCC) located at Lieber Gate ACP. On weekends, Visitors and Commercial traffic will also be processed through the Lieber Gate ACP by the on-duty Department of the Army Security Guards.

The HQBN Command Team and Staff took the time out of their busy day to make sure that gratitude was properly extended to MSG Miller for his time spent as the acting HQBN CSM. MSG Miller filled in as the HQBN CSM for 7 months while CSM Dan Hopkins temporarily assumed duties as Garrison CSM, until the new Garrison CSM arrived 19 May 23.

will be conducting a force protection exercise involving active shooter and mass casualty scenarios, ALL DAY, Thursday, June 22, 2023.
Residents, commuters, and visitors can expect an increased presence of emergency vehicles near Fort Belvoir Primary School.
Delays and alternates routing may also occur in the following areas:
• Fort Belvoir North CDC
• Fort Belvoir Upper and Primary Elementary School
Community members may experience delays when entering and departing post due to short-term closures of any or all Fort Belvoir gates, between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
This exercise serves as a training platform for emergency response staff personnel, first responders, and Garrison personnel in the event of a real-world incident.
It is vital to community safety and serves to strengthen the working relationships between Fort Belvoir Garrison and our mission partners.

June 12 is Women Veterans Day, which marks the anniversary of the enactment of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act. This year, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the act, which allowed women to become permanent, full-time members of the U.S. Army

Due to the wildfires in Canada, an air quality alert has been issued for today, Thursday, June 8. The Air Quality is unhealthy for everyone at Fort Belvoir and the surrounding region.
We recommend that everyone consider eliminating outdoor activities, especially individuals with emphysema, asthma and other respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
If you must be outside, masks are an option to protect yourself against air pollution, but the most effective way is to stay safe is to stay indoors.

There will be 100% ID card checks in effect at Fort Belvoir from 1 June to 14 June 2023 due to a traffic study.
That means 100% ID card checks of all vehicle occupants entering post.
Please allow extra time when traveling to post. To ensure traffic flow as smoothly as possible, prepare ahead of time: Have ID cards ready for all passengers in your vehicle before you arrive at the checkpoint.
Visitors should get a pass in advance from Visitor Control Center or enter installation through a vehicle processing center.

Effective this Monday, May 22, the Body Shop Fitness Center Operating Hours will be extended to include Monday through Friday, from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday hours remain unchanged (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Closed on Federal holidays. Patrons using the facility MUST sign in, and complete their workouts by 7 p.m. on weekdays and 5 p.m. on weekends. Thank you for your cooperation.
