Melissa M. Wilson for the people

Melissa M. Wilson for the people I have a heart for children and look forward to moving that ministry forward. Melissa

I am seeking to be your next County Judge, and I am committed to providing an authentic approach, free from typical political rhetoric. As a business owner, a mother, a dedicated member of this community, bringing a wealth of experience in sales, human resources, development, construction, and community advocacy. I am committed to listening to the needs of all constituents, whether they reside in

Needville or Pearland East every community matters, and together we will continue to advance Fort Bend into a prosperous county with safe neighborhoods. My vision is for our residents to take pride in living, working, and enjoying life here.

Tonight, I want to begin by saying thank you.

Thank you to every voter who showed up, every volunteer who knocked on doors, every supporter who prayed for our campaign, and every family member who sacrificed their time so this movement could grow. Campaigns are not built by one person. They are built by communities that believe their future matters.

Over the last months, we have had conversations across Fort Bend County with thousands of residents—small business owners, parents, seniors, veterans, and young people who are just beginning to build their lives. What we heard everywhere was the same thing: people want common sense leadership, accountability, and a government that remembers it works for the people.

That belief is bigger than any single election.

While tonight’s results may not have gone exactly as we hoped, the mission that brought us together does not end here. The principles we stood on—faith, integrity, responsible leadership, and respect for taxpayers—are not temporary campaign messages. They are values that must guide the future of this county.

I am proud of the campaign we ran. We ran it with honesty. We ran it with conviction. And we ran it with the courage to speak directly to the issues that matter most to the people of Fort Bend County.

Taking time today to step away briefly and visit The Sanctuary Foster Services – Fort Bend Branch is more than symbolic — it reflects priorities.

This organization works on the front lines placing children in safe, stable, loving homes. They don’t just facilitate placements. They provide:
• Counseling for children navigating trauma
• Ongoing support for foster families
• Practical resources to stabilize homes
• Guidance to help families succeed long term

Foster care is not a charity function. It’s infrastructure. When foster systems fail, counties pay for it downstream — through juvenile systems, mental health systems, and broken social outcomes. When foster systems succeed, communities become stronger, safer, and more economically stable.

Supporting organizations like this is not emotional optics — it’s strategic governance.

Melissa M. Wilson is running for Fort Bend County Judge to restore common-sense leadership, integrity, and results-driven governance to Commissioners Court.
She brings over two decades of real-world experience in finance, real estate, construction, insurance, and human resource management—fields that demand fiscal discipline, accountability, and decisive leadership. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Human Resources and founded her first business at just 19 years old. For more than 20 years, she has successfully built and operated businesses, managed payrolls, budgets, compliance, and people—skills directly relevant to overseeing a multi-million dollar county operation.

Melissa is not new to public advocacy. Since 2021, she has consistently testified and spoken on behalf of Fort Bend County residents at Commissioners Court, holding local government accountable and ensuring citizens’ voices are heard—not ignored.

Fort Bend County does not need more politics; it needs competent leadership. Melissa offers steady judgment, business acumen, and a unifying approach that prioritizes taxpayers, infrastructure, public safety, and responsible growth.

Her leadership will bring healing where division has slowed progress—and the experience required to move Fort Bend County forward as the thriving, well-managed county it is meant to be.

Leadership grounded in experience. Governance guided by common sense.
