Good Afternoon, friends and families of Axe Company trainees!

A CO, 2-19 BN Turning Green Ceremony has changed locations due to inclement weather. The date is still 5 December 2025. The times are 9:00 AM Family Brief. 10:00 AM start of the ceremony. The new location is Santiago Fitness Center. The address to this location is still on Sand Hill at 23rd Inf Regiment Rd, BLDG 3350, Columbus, GA 31905 United States. You can easily find the building by using the GuideOn app.

There is a large parking lot adjacent to the building where Axe company Drill Sergeants will be stationed to help direct foot traffic.

As a reminder, the Soldiers of Axe Company are being placed on a weekend pass. Their pass will begin directly after the conclusion of the ceremony and their return time back to the Axe Company CTA is 8:00 PM on Sunday, 7 December 2025.

Please remember that the Sand Hill gate is closed on weekends and you will have to use the main gate, ACP-3 Lindsey Creek Gate I-185. This gate is also searchable on the GuideOn app.

Using this gate on the weekend in the later hours of the afternoon will add minutes to your travel time. Please account for this so your Soldier is not suffering the consequences of bad time management.

Per the Welcome Letter sent week one of this training cycle it stated that the pass would be limited to 25 miles off Fort Benning. To reiterate, this means your Soldier is not authorized to be further than 25 miles from Fort Benning. They must remain in uniform (OCPs or APFU) the entire time they are on pass.
