On behalf of the Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning Commander, Maj. The Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning develops and trains our Nation’s warfighters—Infantry and Armor Soldiers. We do this by combining knowledgeable professional Soldier and civilian mentors with state- of-the art equipment, and premier facilities, for dismounted and mounted combat troops to hone their warfighting skills in one location. We provide trained, agile and adaptive combat-ready Soldiers and Leaders; develop the doctrine and capabilities of the Maneuver Force and individual Soldier; and provide a world-class quality of life for our Soldiers, civilians and Army families to ensure our Army's Maneuver Force remains the world's premier combat force ready to “Win in a Complex World.”
Our footprint is growing as just over half of all Soldiers who choose to serve our country as a Soldier will pass through the gates of the Fort Benning to attend some of the 100 courses offered here: Basic Combat Training, Infantry and Armor One Station Unit Training, U.S. Army Ranger Course, Basic Airborne Course, Sniper Course, Pathfinder, Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course, Combatives Course, Officer Candidate School, and functional courses such as Infantry and Armor Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, and non-commissioned officer training at the Henry Caro NCO Academy. The installation is also home to several operational units: 1st Security Force Asistance Brigade (SFAB), 75th Ranger Regiment and ARNG Warrior Training Center Brigade just to name a few.
