As the wind continues blow, there are a few measures you can take to prevent damage and loss of personal items.
1) Roll down you window before you open your car door. This will prevent the wind catching it and possibly striking another vehicle.
2) Secure all personal belongings. (Outdoor patio furniture, trash cans, etc)

If you have a good tip, please post so we all get through this together...thx, chief

Over the last 7 days, a number of larcenies that have taken place in our community, have been reported to the Fort Bliss Direcorate of Emergency Services. Although this represents a recent increase in reported larcenies, it is still consistent with previous annual holiday crime trends of this nature. As we continue to adjust procedures to proactively prevent future incidents, we encourage the community to ensure vehicles, personal property, and residences remain secure at all times. We ask for our communities continued support in reporting all criminal or suspicious activity to the Ft Bliss Dispatch Center at 915-744-2115...thx, chief

Speeding, parking reminder

Fort Bliss officials would like to remind drivers to observe the speed limit throughout post, and that the speed limit on Sheridan Road is 25 mph.

It is also important drivers do not use cell phones while driving and pedestrians make sure they walk on sidewalks.

In terms of parking, drivers should always park in the same direction as the flow of traffic.

From the Chief: I hope you all are doing great and preparing for the upcoming summer. As we all continue to lean forward in our community 'foxholes', we have scheduled our last town hall for this quarter. This town hall is focused on those families who reside on and around Sheridan Road and will be on 03 May at 5:30 PM at the BBCs main building on 1991 Marshall Road (adj Kelly Park). Though the last two town halls were limited in numbers, a lot of good information was disseminated to the community and (as important) we, as community leaders, were provided some valid concerns that will assist in creating a better community for all.

Hope to see you there! If BBC sends you an invite, pls RSVP.

Continue to be safe and give a little attention to your speed, i assure you my guys are.
