EIB/ESB test week is underway. The candidates executed the EIB/ESB Physical Assessments and Day/Night Land Navigation on day one. Those who made it past day one, will execute Weapons Lane on day two. Keep up the good work and stay focus on the finish line Regulars!
1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment close out formation recognized and awarded Regulars across the Battalion today. Soldiers that promoted to Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, and 1st Leiutenant was well earned and celebrated!
Several Soldiers also received Army Achievement Medals and Good Conduct Medals. These Regulars have shown great leadership and personal courage. Congratulations!
To wrap up events, one Regular from each company was recognized for going above assigned duties. They received a Battalion coin from LTC Chavez for their hard work.
Outstanding work from all Regulars this week. 1-6 IN has shown that it lives up to its motto, UNITY IS STRENGTH!

This morning at 1-6 IN PT, all companies participated in a PT competition. The events included rowing, sled push, dead lift, and weight carries. Congratulations to HHC staff on winning the competition! The Regulars cheered on fellow soldiers and the spirit of competition was a great example of the Army values. Great effort from all who participated and a special thank you to H2F staff for assisting in set up and ex*****on.

Ms. Yesenia Villarreal who serves as the Wounded Warrior Fellow for Congresswoman Veronica Escobar in Texas 16th District, visited the EIB/ESB site on 1 December 2022. Ms. Villarreal is a retired United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran, and today her skills were put to the the test at the EIB/ESB lanes!
She took the time to meet with Soldiers, Graders, and Leaders throughout the site and provided support as the candidates are getting ready to begin test week on 5 December 2022.
To all the 1-6 IN candidates, stay motivated and committed and we will see you on Strike Field for the pinning ceremony!

The 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment chili cook off was a big hit! Regular soldiers enjoyed homemade chili and donated baked goods. A heartfelt thank you to those who participated and volunteered their time and effort to make the cook off a great success.
1-6 IN also conducted a turkey and gift basket raffle. The Regulars were excited to participate and cheer each other on. Congratulations to the winners! A special thank to those who donated for the gift baskets and turkeys.
To close out events, awards and Battalion coins were given out to Regular soldiers that went above and beyond. These soldiers are a shining example for all Regulars to look up to.
Thank you to all who participated in today's festivities! The events today bolstered the Regular family's spirits and exemplified the Army's dedication to Espirit de Corp.

Do you have any cooks in the Squad? Each Battalion can enter 2 chilis to compete in 123rd Brigade Support Battalion's Chili cook-off!
Finally, prove yourself at 1st Battalion, 77th Armored Regiment and lift big with the Bulldog Barbell Club. Dead lift, squat, bench press. Go for it.
