Over the weekend the Regular Battalion took time to
recognize the importance of family support, and executed a Building Strong and Ready Teams (BSRT) event, also known as Strong Bonds at the Lodge Resort in Cloudcroft, NM.

Strong Bonds is fully-funded and Chaplain-led with the support of the Commander. Where Soldiers and their Families attend with others in the unit who share the same deployment cycle. During the strong bind Soldiers and Families participate in small group activities that reveal common bonds and nurture friendships.

A total of 21 families came together for this amazing event. Special thanks to our Unit Ministry Team for putting the event together. “Unity is Strength”

Last week we said farewell to three amazing leaders in the Battalion as they move on to bigger and better things. SSG Myers, LT McDaniel, and LT Bandow, we wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors. On that same day, six Soldiers joined the 1-6 IN Battalion Family! Welcome to the Battalion and we look forward to working with you all!

With all the tenacity we expect of the Regulars, the Iron Ducks battled back after conceding the initial goal and drew 2-2 in regular time, finishing the Commander’s Cup tournament as runners-up after the penalty shootout. A hard working and skillful team who were as gracious in victory as in defeat throughout the tournament.

Congratulations on an excellent season to all the players, and thank you to the fans and families that came and cheered them on! Regulars by God!! 🐊 ⚽️

On 23 May 2024, we added another 5 members to the Regular Family during the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division Patching Ceremony. Among them is our new Chaplain, LT Anderson. We are extremely proud and happy for you all to have joined our Family.

As we received new members we also had to say goodbye to some Regulars leaving us. CPT (Chaplain) Rutkin, and SGT Kern. Thank you both for your dedicated service to our Soldiers and to the Regular Battalion.

Lastly, we closed out the formation with two officer promotions. Please help us in congratulating newly promoted 1LT Clancy and CPT Worshim.

Over the last theee weeks the Soldiers completed the Regular Battalion Basic Combatives Course and the Tactical Combatives Course. Special thanks to LT Dadey, SFC Konrad, SSG Vaughn, SSG Cabrera, and SSG Rote for going above and beyond to ensure that these amazing Soldiers got the best training they can get and become BCC and TCC certified.

On March 30, 2024, Task Force Regulars cased their colors and conducted a transfer of authority with The Fighting Eagles of 1-8 IN. This marks the completion of 1-6 INs “Assure, Deter, and Reinforce” mission in the Black Sea Region (BSR). Over the last nine months TF Regulars executed a rigorous training progression that included individual weapons qualifications, small unit tactics, team and squad LFXs, and achieved Company live-fires. Additionally, all crews qualified on their Abrams and Bradleys during Gunnery. Moreover, the Regulars achieved interoperability with the Forward Land Forces Battle Group and the Bulgarian Land Forces thru several multinational training exercises.

Through the hard work and dedication of our Soldiers, the Regulars stood out from all other battalions in Europe. 1-6 IN established a benchmark of excellence and created a legacy in the BSR. The efforts of our Soldiers set the conditions which will enable future units in Bulgaria to build readiness and increase lethality.

To all the Soldiers and Leaders of the Regular Battalion, Job Well Done! Thank you for your sacrifices, hard work, and commitment to excellence. You have added to the legacy of this legendary organization. While operating at the tip of the spear, you have represented Americans Tank Division with the utmost honor and pride.
