On April 8th the Battalion Commander LTC Mullins lead a Leaders Professional Development or LPD with all the Lieutenant’s of the Workhorse Battalion. Part of the LPD Included a hike in the Franklin Mountains of El Paso to the wreck site of B-36 that crashed in 1953. Some of the discussions that took place during the hike included thoughts on PT, guiding and challenging Soldiers, as well as building a stronger connection for all the junior officers in the battalion.

During the Hail and Farewell we witnessed the awarding of the most prestigious award given within the Workhorse Battalion.
The coveted “Broken Wrench” 🔧
This award has been held by the Bravo “Banditos” for quite awhile. And tonight they hoped to pass it along to another worthy company. But who would have this great honor bestowed upon them?
Would it be the HSC Sidewinders?
The Alpha Outlaws
The Charlie Warriors
Or would the Banditos remain the holders of this award?
So the rules of the award are, the stories told must be told about other companies within the battalion. These stories must be funny or whimsical. And they must be 100% accurate(give or take 95%). So with the rules in place the story tellers told their tales.
And after the tales were told and our expert broken wrench panel (LTC Mullins and Mrs. Mullins and CSM Ludwig and Mrs. Ludwig) deliberated. They decided on a winner…..🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
And with the plethora of stories about his company CPT John Farrell accepting his fate, accepted the broken wrench award on behalf of the Alpha Company 127th ASB Outlaws.
On a side note, anonymous sources want it to be known that the Charlie Warriors were nominated solely based on the fact that they had no problems or stories come out of their company that would qualify for the broken wrench award. And these sources found that highly suspicious, and want a full investigation as to why those types of stories are being suppressed.

As a result of this change to both the level of transmission and hospital capacity, we have lowered our HPCON to BRAVO and updated our WSLS with the 12th Amended Order in accordance with the 1 March 2022 Under Secretary of Defense Memorandum (Updated Guidance for Mask and Screening Testing for all DoD Installations and Other Facilities).
Major Changes Include:
1) Paragraph 9. Updated mask wear requirements in alignment with CDC COVID-19 Community Levels. At current level of MEDIUM, mask wear is NOT required on Fort Bliss unless in a medical, dental, or child development center facility.
2) Paragraph 12. New paragraph that affirms Screening Testing in alignment with CDC COVID-19 Community Levels. At current level of MEDIUM, unvaccinated personnel are still required to conduct regular screening testing to conduct work or visit Fort Bliss facilities.
