Congratulations to this week’s MP Monday featured Soldiers, SGT Tilghman and SSG Helton!

SGT Tilghman, 978th MP Co, (top, right corner), achieved a significant milestone, receiving promotion to the rank of Sergeant. This milestone marks the transition from Soldier to trusted leader!

SSG Dylan Helton (bottom left corner, center), also achieved a significant milestone, receiving promotion to Staff Sergeant and assignment as a Chateau Security Force squad leader. SSG Helton’s leadership and expertise will ensure the protection of the SACEUR, his family, and visiting NATO and U.S. officials and foreign dignitaries on the 22-acre residential compound.

🦂 Please join us in congratulating one of our own SGT Tilghman on a significant milestone promotion to the rank of Sergeant. Achieving the rank of Sergeant is no small feat; it represents years of dedication, discipline, and a commitment to both personal development and mission success. This milestone marks the transition from being a capable Soldier to a trusted leader someone who leads from the front, mentors peers, and exemplifies Army values in every action.

🦂 We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the 212th Military Police Company for joining the 978th Military Police Company in a recent joint physical training session. Opportunities like these reinforce the power of teamwork, strengthen bonds between units, and sharpen our collective readiness. When we train together, we grow stronger together, enhancing our ability to execute with precision and lethality when called upon.

The 978th Military Police Company hosted its Organizational Day, a meaningful event focused on building strong teams, fostering a positive climate, and strengthening resilience through shared challenges. The day brought Soldiers, families, and leadership together in a spirit of camaraderie, unity, and reflection.

Throughout the day, team-building activities and friendly competitions encouraged collaboration, trust, and morale, reinforcing the bonds that make the 978th MP Company a cohesive and mission-ready unit. Leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining a supportive and positive climate, where every Soldier feels valued, heard, and empowered to succeed.

A special moment was dedicated to honoring our fallen comrades those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. In a solemn ceremony, participants gathered to reflect on their legacy, paying tribute through silence, prayer, and remembrance. This time of reflection reminded all in attendance of the deeper meaning behind their service and the enduring strength of the military community.

The 978th Military Police Company was recognized as the Best Military Police Company in the Battalion for the 3rd Quarter, a reflection of the unit’s unwavering commitment to readiness, discipline, and tactical proficiency. Over the quarter, the company aggressively pursued excellence through deliberate physical training that emphasized small unit leadership, communication under stress, and synchronization of team movements—fostering a cohesive, lethal force capable of operating in complex environments.

2nd Platoon distinguished itself through consistent tactical training focused on urban operations, executing squad-level room clearing and refining cordon and search operations in accordance with the unit’s Mission Essential Task List (METL). These exercises not only enhanced lethality in built-up areas but reinforced platoon SOPs and enabled leaders to assess and improve battle drills under simulated combat conditions.

This quarter’s recognition underscores the company’s commitment to disciplined training, tactical ex*****on, and mission readiness—hallmarks of a lethal and agile MP force capable of supporting decisive action operations across the range of military operations.

As they walk familiar grounds and reconnect with old comrades, they also meet the next generation of MPs—young, eager, and shaped by a new era of service. Through shared stories, quiet reflections, and spirited exchanges, the veterans and current soldiers bridge the gap between past and present. The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of action, and the Scorpions have been exuding excellence every step of the way!

From conducting community engagements through volunteering to sharpening our warrior tasks and drills, our Soldiers have been putting in WORK and showing what RIGHT looks like. Whether it’s dominating Battalion Promotion Boards, executing ranges, leading from the front in physical training, or taking on key support missions — this team has been locked in and laser-focused.
