Earlier today, 18th Corps-Finance Battalion held a Change of Command ceremony. The command bid farewell to their outgoing commander LTC Bryan K. Blocklinger and his family and welcomed the incoming battalion commander LTC Wesley S. Tudor and his family.

During his outgoing speech, LTC Blocklinger thanked and complimented the unit and command team's success, "You cultivated relentless discipline, globally you projected lethal power flawlessly executing high stack missions across CENTCOM, SOUTHCOM and AFRICOM."

In case you missed it: the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) welcomed Col. Carey Way as its new commander on June 18 at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, with Brig. Gen. Raphael S. Heflin presiding over the ceremony.

We thank Col. John “Eddie” Gray for his leadership and commitment to the 7th TB(X) and its mission of delivering expeditionary transportation and sustainment capability wherever the Army needs it most.

Celebrating 251 years of the U.S. Army

Since 1775, America's Army has stood ready to protect the nation and its people and will fight to defend its values. 3CSC Soldiers celebrated the Army birthday with a solid 5K run for physical training and later cut cake and broke bread in celebration at the newly renovated Spears Restaurant.

Today, the 3rd Corps Sustainment Command celebrated the promotion of our commander, Brig. Gen. Raphael S. Heflin, to the general officer ranks. During a ceremony at Fort Bragg, officiated by Lt. Gen. Gregory Anderson, commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps, Heflin was recognized for his 28 years of distinguished service.

CONSTANT READINESS: THE STANDARD OF HARD PT

In the 3rd Corps Sustainment Command, hard PT is a daily, non-negotiable standard. Soldiers from our intelligence and operations teams recently pushed the limit in a grueling morning session, reinforcing a simple truth: combat lethality starts in the dirt. Physical fitness and mental grit aren't optional—they are the absolute foundation required to sustain the XVIII Airborne Corps in the crucible of ground combat.

Excellence is earned, and merit matters. Following the sweat equity, several Soldiers were recognized with coins for their relentless work ethic and for continuously exceeding the standard. By enforcing unyielding physical expectations and rewarding true grit, we forge a cohesive, warfighting team built for one purpose: to fight and win.

SUSTAINING THE RESPONSE

Soldiers of the 264th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion recently validated their rapid-response readiness during Exercise Guardian Response at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.

The 264th proved they can deploy within 24 hours to support the Defense CBRN Response Force (DCRF)—a specialized joint force dedicated to saving lives and providing medical and logistical aid during domestic chemical, biological, or nuclear emergencies.

In a crisis, logistics is a lifesaving mission. Our teams successfully managed complex supply nodes and delivered essential supply packages—including fuel and water—to ensure rescue operations remained uninterrupted. Our readiness depends entirely on our people. By testing these expeditionary skills, the 264th MCB ensures our Soldiers are highly trained and ready to deliver the "Right Force, Right Response, and Right Expertise" whenever the Nation calls.
