Today, the Fort Bragg Police Department joins communities across the nation in recognizing Juneteenth. This day commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and progress.

Juneteenth serves as an opportunity to reflect on our nation's history, honor the strength and contributions of African-Americans, and reaffirm our commitment to treating every member of our community with dignity, fairness, and respect.

As we remember the significance of this day, we remain dedicated to building trust, fostering understanding, and working together to create a safer and more inclusive community for all.

Hoy, el Departamento de Policía de Fort Bragg se une a las comunidades de todo el país para reconocer el Juneteenth, una fecha que conmemora el fin de la esclavitud en los Estados Unidos y celebra la libertad, la resiliencia y el progreso.

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the search and rescue volunteers who came to assist in Mendocino County this morning. Members of our teams and several other teams arrived for the 6:00 AM briefing in Fort Bragg ready to deal with whatever was thrown at them. The successful rescue of this lost child was a huge accomplishment.

I also wanted to thank the community members who assisted with canvassing the neighborhoods on foot and in vehicles.
Also a huge thank you to our friends at Harvest Market and several other businesses who made sure the needs of our searchers were met.

Thank you to our local media who helped get this information out to the public which prompted many folks to assist as well.

The prayers and out pouring of support for this family was incredible and shows what a solid community does for their members.

Thank you to all who assisted and to all the folks who were sharing prayers and positive thoughts and support for this family and our personnel.

Every blood donation has the power to save lives. Hospitals rely on generous donors every day to help accident victims, patients undergoing surgery, cancer patients, and many others in need of lifesaving care.

The Fort Bragg Police Department would like to thank all blood donors for their selfless commitment to helping others. Your generosity makes a difference in our community and beyond.

Good Morning,

The City of Fort Bragg Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in obtaining video surveillance from the 100 block of Park Street and the surrounding areas.

On June 11th, at approximately 12:17 A.M., and unknown male was prowling on a property in the 100 Block of Park Street. The suspect was described as a Hispanic Male Adult, long hair, approximately 150 lbs, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. A brown and tan granite construction ball cap was located at the scene and may be associated.

If you live in this area and have security cameras, the department is requesting any surveillance footage between the 11:00 P.M. on the 10th and 1:00 A.M. on the 11th.
