Owens Valley Tribes and the struggle to save Payahuunadü.

Remember if you have content you want to see on the Tribal Caucus page, share it!

The water in California's eastern Owens Valley has for a century flowed south to Los Angeles. But climate change and court decisions about indigenous water rights may force a rethink of how California uses and shares water.

The 2019 Summer RTOC week is a family friendly event.

There will be camping available and there is no cost for camping on site. Please see the below information for best preparing to tent camp at the site https://www.region9rtoc.com/2019summerrtoc

Trailers/RVs should stay off of HWY 1 as much as possible. It is a very scenic drive, but the longer vehicles have issues due to the curves. For RV or trailers, there are no hookups, but water can be found to fill reservoirs.

This will be an outdoor venue under a large tent.

Coffee and Refreshments will be available in the clubhouse throughout the day.

WIFI will not be available though we shall have a conference call option for at least the Tribal Caucus and full RTOC days.

Electricity for the meeting will be provided through a solar generator provided by GRID Alternatives and we are working to create a low waste event by using compostable products and encouraging participants to reduce waste as much as possible.

Doing little things like bringing reusable water bottles and your favorite mug for coffee make a big difference.

Safe travels to you all and we will see you in Fort Bragg!
