💜 Celebrating Women’s Equality Day! 💜

On August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment granted women the right to vote, a victory made possible by generations of courageous women who refused to give up.

On August 24, 2026, the Fort Bragg City Council honored the 106th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment and recognized the women who fought for our voices to be heard.

Thank you to the suffragists who paved the way. May we continue to honor their legacy by using our voices and our votes. 🗳️💜

Next Week is First Friday in Downtown Fort Bragg! 🎉

The September First Friday lands right on Labor Day weekend, and we’re ready to celebrate! On September 4th, the 300 block of Franklin Street will be closed so you can enjoy local pop ups, explore freely, and play games right in the street. Bring your friends, family, and long-weekend energy: it’s going to be a fun night in downtown Fort Bragg!

From 5–9 PM, Downtown Fort Bragg transforms into a lively Entertainment Zone filled with activities, shopping, and community vibes.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
🍹 To go drinks from participating bars and restaurants
🗺️ Wander freely within the designated Entertainment Zone
🛍️ Late night shopping with local businesses

What is the Entertainment Zone?
It is a City Council approved pilot program designed to bring more energy, connection, and walkability to our downtown. Adults 21+ can responsibly enjoy to go beverages outdoors while exploring shops, supporting local businesses, and enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Come out, enjoy the evening, support your local shops, and be part of the fun in Downtown Fort Bragg! 💙

Dorothy Jess steps into the role of City Clerk / HR Analyst. She will support the City Clerk and Human Resources offices, strengthening the administrative backbone that keeps our city operations running smoothly. 🗂️

Alexander Renteria joins us as our Broadband Systems Technician - Transitional. Alexander will play a key role in connecting homes and businesses to our newly installed MCN high‑speed fiber network, helping bring reliable, cutting‑edge connectivity to our community. 🌐

Please join us in celebrating Alexander and Dorothy as they begin their journey with the City of Fort Bragg. We’re thrilled to have them on the team!
