In remembrance of all past and present Soldiers, Happy Veteran's Day. Today is not just a day to collect all the freebies and the discounts, but a day to give thanks to our brothers and sisters in arms who served and continue serving. Many made and continue to make sacrifices in order to serve our nation. In the 101st, we stay ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America at a moment's notice.

Good day BLACKJACK FAMILY
We want to welcome all B CO soldiers and their family to come enjoy an afternoon of food, games, and fundraiser for our company. This is much needed with multiple training events coming up soon.

Bring some lawn chairs and sunscreen!

We will be doing a pie in the face fundraiser so ensure you save up some cash to pie your leadership in the face!

Lots has happened in the past weeks from prepping for Air Assault classes as they continue after block leave, to re-enlistments, to retirements. We want to highlight a couple Soldiers.

Congrats to the following SMs who re-enlisted to continue serving in the greatest branch there is:
SSG Brown, Vanessa
SSG Colling, Dominic
SPC Serrano, Christian.

We bid farewell to a couple retirees who have spent the past 20+ years serving the Army and will continue their journey in retirement to enjoy much needed time with their families.

After receiving many new Soldiers to the company, Blackjack already had an ACFT on the calendar for this assessment. Even in 38°F weather at 0545 they pushed themselves to muscle failure in the process of receiving a good score.

A 4x36 (4 miles under 36 minutes) was also conducted this week for those who were not on the ACFT list in this new quarter.

Great work Blackjack in staying mission ready!

Congratulations to SFC Maldonado for completing Master Leader Course (MLC) Class 007-25 where he spent two weeks in a professional education program for U.S. Army senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), primarily focused on developing their critical thinking skills and preparing them for transitioning to operational and strategic environments for their next rank of Master Sergeant.

And he was the honor graduate of his class which was definitely well-deserved!

Blackjack's transition from Brigade Support Battalion to Light Support Battalion involves us being a part of the Division Sustainment Brigade and conduct a 4 mile run as a division.

The weather did not stop us from enjoying a great run at 15°F!

Staying resilient even in the harshest conditions!

Yesterday's Leader's Time Training (LTT) consisted of building unit cohesion and trust at Gardner Pool while conducting physical training.

Blackjack conducted 4 different drills and we had one weak swimmer learn how to float on her own! It's all about instilling trust in those we work with each day.
