27 June 2024 – The Fort Campbell Historical Foundation, along with the Command Teams of the 101st Airborne Division, 5th Special Forces Group, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and the Garrison conducted the ground breaking ceremony for the Tennessee Wings Of Liberty Museum. The Museum will sit on a 33-acre site near the intersection of Tiny Town Road and 41A. The museum will be on post, but with entrances from Fort Campbell Boulevard, it will be accessible from off post without the need to go through one of Fort Campbell’s gates and will be the second largest Army Museum. It will include exhibits showcasing the 101st, 5SFG and the 160th SOAR along with indoor and outdoor static displays. The first phase of the museum is scheduled to open late 2025.
